Associazione Maurizio Collino (Maurizio Collino Association), created in 2005 in memory of Maurizio Collino, keeps his ideals alive: the association wish to support the artistic expression of the young, by granting awards and scholarships.
Each year, the association makes a cash prize available for a young man or woman who is active the the art field. In the last few years, the film sector has been favoured: several awards have been granted among the sections of Turin Film Festival and Piemonte Movie.
For the third year in a row, the Associazione confirms its collaboration with Paratissima, a collaboration started on the 10th edition of the event, during which the young artist Kiril Hadzhiev was awarded, and continued the following year with the awarding of Claud Hesse.
This year as well, YLDA decided to award the Maurizio Collino Prize (2.000 euros) to an artist during the 12th edition of Paratissima, according to the following terms:
The winner must be regularly subscribed to the 11th edition of Paratissima
The winner must be between 18 and 35. In case of groups, the majority of the participants must be between 18 and 35.
The prize will be a cash contribution awarded to the artist by December 31st, 2015.
The artists will be judged following 3 main criteria:
Quality and originality of the work
Research and planning of the overall production of the artist
The materials invested and production costs of the work. In this sense the prize should be an assistance to the artists who incur major production expenses in order to create their work.
