CAVES OF MIND
INSIDE THE DARK CORNERS OF THE MIND
curated by Carla Palazzo and Isabella Spicuglia
One need not be a chamber to be haunted (…)
The brain has corridors surpassing material place.
Emily Elizabeth Dickinson
We all have secret corners in our mind, where we used to voluntarily hide or we ended up in there we were wandering through our memories and our imagination.
Those are our places, our shelters, our nests. Places where we can wander above time and limitations because they are free of any material dimension. Their geograpy, their architecture and their profiles are clear just for us.
Reality allows us to live more or less evasive moments of interaction with those spaces, where images of dreams melt with reality. There we can find things that we thought forever lost and emotions that we find disturbing or that make us feel at home. Those are the most hidden corners of our mind, the archives of our experience.
Like a wondow over these interior worlds, Caves of mind allows us the possibility to penetrate and dig through the most mysterious depths of the subconscious.
